A native Texan, Jeff was born and raised in Austin, not far from where his family still owns a ranch in Dripping Springs. Graduating from the University of Texas, he started out as a film writer-producer. But one day in the mid-1990’s, he found himself falling in love with another language – “HTML”.
He then was caught up in “Internet Rush” of 1998, and was swept upstream into Boston where he was thrilled with the exploding start-up scene. Jeff realized at that time that software would change the world.
Wanting to make an even bigger impact, he was trained in systems architecture, object oriented programming, database design, and data-driven web experiences, working for a variety of start-ups as a programmer, web content manager, technical writer and UI designer.
By 2005, the marketing and advertising world was catching up to the power of digital and Jeff was lured over to the agency world for seven years as a copy writer, e-marketing specialist, interactive producer, creative technologist, creative director, and finally, a UX director. During this time, Jeff worked on some of the iconic brands and impactful campaigns of the time, including the CVS/Pharamacy tablet app, Starburst Share Something Juicy campaign (which went all the way to Cannes Awards for its innovative marketing approach), Delta Airlines SkyMiles promotional engine, and the redesign of Kraftfoods.com, the nation’s 2nd most visited recipe site.
But Jeff caught the software bug again in 2011, as he sensed the world was changing. The mobile revolution excited Jeff greatly, and he applied his experience helping software companies in Boston upgrade to modern mobile applications and cloud-based platforms.
In 2016, Jeff joined forces with Paul Stansbury and team, who were working on a secret project called Xinn. A revolutionary content management system that would create a new standard in how enterprise businesses communicate and collaborate with their customers.
Today, as you can imagine, Jeff is bringing all his creative energy, writing flair, technical know-how, and marketing business skills with to bear on the Xinn platform. He owns the content strategy and product design practices for the company, working closely with CEO Paul Stansbury.
Jeff lives near Boston with wife and very active three kids. He enjoys Thai cooking, mountain biking, soccer, wine tasting, live music and disrupting entrenched industries with discontinuous innovation.
